Perfect Pumpkin Bread

Perfect Pumpkin Bread

I've been meaning to get this recipe posted for ages. I finally told myself today was the day.

This pumpkin bread is the perfect blend of autumnal flavors, spices, and goes great with a big mug of coffee or apple cider. I've made this recipe for friends and family and have received high praise for it each time.

If you're looking for a holiday recipe to share or whip up something for yourself this is definitely it. It's also the type of goodie that you can make at a moment's notice for a party or those unexpected guests that may drop by during the holiday season. Keep this in your holiday recipe arsenal and you won't be disappointed.

Ingredients:

1 cup white sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 3/4 cup flour

1 tsp baking soda

3/4 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1/4 tsp ground cloves

1/8 tsp dry ginger

3/4 cup pumpkin puree

1 tsp vanilla

2 eggs

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/3 cup water

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. Then butter and flour your bread pan so that the mixture doesn't stick. Combine sugars, flour, spices, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Then make a well in the center of your mixture and add the pumpkin puree, eggs, vegetable oil, water and vanilla. Mix until all ingredients are well combined (no lumps). Pour the batter into the prepared bread pan and bake for 55 - 65 minutes.

You can check if your bread is done by inserting a knife or toothpick into the center, making sure it comes out clean. Leave in bread pan to cool for at least 5 minutes then transfer to cooling rack until you are ready to dig in!

Enjoy and let me know in the comments if you whip up a batch this holiday season!
